Like in a small puzzle, bit by bit, things are starting coming together in this little room makeover that I decided to challenge myself with in this fall 2016 One Room Challenge Event.
For me, the event has proven to be a reeeal challeng considering the tininess of the budget that I am working with. I know that I keep winning about it but, really, I am in a big trouble as I already run out of the projected amount; so, to make this project come to an end I am using my all DIY skills and I am repurposing some of my unused stuff stored in my attic.
So, these are the updates:
I managed to paint the legs and assemble the console table/working desk, and decided to arrange the hairpin desk legs in a half circle position. I was worried at first about the stability of the desk by arranging the legs this way, but as the desk is placed against the wall it proved to stand quite stable, and it looks quite interesting.
Making and designing pillows is a thing that I always like to do with a big pleasure so I made a few of them for this project too.
This is one of the pillows that I made using this beautiful green velvet:
and to add some pattern I found this interesting linen fabric with a beautiful reptile print.
As far as the sewing projects is concerned I also designed and made this “double deck” pouf. I call it double deck because is twice the height of standard poufs found at stores. It came out really nice and I am loving it.
Hunting in my attic the other day, I found plenty of frames so I am planning a gallery wall to be displayed above the sofa. Now I have to make a big decision what it should be put into those frames!

Progresi ne Dekorin/Perditesimin i Dhomes – Java e Katert ne eventin “Sfida e Nje Dhome”
Sikurse ne nje puzzle te vogel, pak nga pak, gjerat kan filluar te krijojne nje teresi ne dekorin e kesaje dhomeje te vogel me te cilen une vendosa te mare pjese si mysafire ne eventin Sfida e Nje Dhome- Vjeshta 2016.
Per mua eventi deshmoj te jet shume sprovues, dhe ate per faktin se buxheti i ndare per kete projekt ishte shuuume i vockel. E di se jame duke bere shume zhurme lidhur me buxhetin, por me te vertete jame ne hall te madh pasi qe veqme e kam shpenzuar ate krejte, dhe po me duhet qe ti fus ne pune te gjitha aftesit e mija DIY (beje vet) si dhe t’i perdori disa nga gjesended e mija te paperdorura dhe te strehura ne nenkulm ne menyre qe t’a perfundoj projektin e nisur.
Pra te filloj me raportin e progresit te bere gjate kesaje jave:
Arijta qe ti ngjyrosja kembet e tavolines dhe ta beje montimin e saje, dhe vendosa qe kembet e tavolines t’i veje ne forme gjysem harkore. Fillimisht isha paksa hezituese pasi qe nuk isha e sigurt per stabilitetin e tavolines me kembe te pozicionuara ne kete menyre. Megjithate, pasi qe tavolina do te qendroj e mbeshtetur plotesishte ne mur, u vertetova se ka stabilitet te mjaftueshem andaj edhe vendosa ta le ne ate menyre. Kembet e vendosura ne kete menyre po duken shume bukur dhe po e bejne qe kjo tavoline e thjeshte te duket shume interesante.
Dizajnimi dhe qepja e jastekve eshte nje prej gjerave me te cilat merem me shume entuziazem dhe kenaqesi, ashtu qe per kete projekt i bera disa prej tyre.
Ky eshte njeri nga ata (shih foton me larte) te cilin e dizajnova dhe qepa duke perdore si material kadife te gjelbert shume te bukur dhe shirit te pambukut ngjyre bezh,dhe per te shtuar pak llojllojshmeri, e gjeta kete material (shih foton me larte) te bukur nga lini me nje dizajn te reptilve dhe qe do te duket shume bukur dhe do te kombinohet mire me jastek tjere.
Per sa u perket projekteve te qepjes per kete dhome, gjithashtu e dizajnova dhe qepa kete ulese (a.k.a POUF) te cilin po e quaj “dykateshe” pasi qe eshte e lartesise se dyfisht nga ato standardet qe i gjejme neper shitore. Doli per bukuri, dhe eshte duke me pelqyer shuuume!
Duke gjahtuar ne nenkulmin tim keto dite, gjeta nje mori kornizash te cilat i pastrova nga punimet qe ishin ne to dhe po planifikoj qe t’a krijoj nje galeri mur siper sofes. Tani vie ai momenti i rendesishem dhe i veshtire i vendimit se cfare te vendoset brenda atyre kornizave!!!
Ja pra kjo eshte e tera sa i perket kesaj jave dhe jam e bindur se edhe pjesmaresit tjere mysafir si dhe 20 dizajnerat/blogerat e perzgjedhur kane pasur jave te ngjeshur gjithashtu.
