“Design with joy in mind.” Inspired by the bright, expressive world of dopamine décor, I’ve transformed my bedroom into a joyful retreat layered with colour, pattern, texture—and personality.

Where Colour Meets Comfort
At the centre of it all is my new queen bed from Emerald Furniture—bought via Chintz & Co classic wood frame with a linen-upholstered headboard. It’s warm, timeless, and the perfect neutral base for bold styling. However, I like to personalize almost everything I buy, so I slipcovered the heaboard and the bed now looks much cosier and less formal!

Designer Bedding for a Mood Boost
The bedding is what brings the entire room to life. I combined:
- Thelma’s Garden by Designers Guild (duvet + euro shams), purchased at Chintz & Company
- Bird Simphonia by Christian Lacroix, for that extra hit of fantasy and colour
- William Morris bedsheets
The mix of florals and birds makes every morning feel like I’m waking up inside a painting.
Vintage Meets Modern
The walls are covered in soft vintage-inspired wallpaper from Home Depot, giving the space an old-world charm. I contrasted the softness with black mid-century modern lamps, bringing in some sculptural edge.

Budget-Friendly Finds
My nightstands are from HomeSense Canada—affordable and chic. Styled with lamps, marble box for jewelry and florals, they blend function and flair. Three deep drawers allow for plenty of storage space in this rather small bedroom!

From Basic to Boutique
Previously, I had the IKEA Hemnes bed—solid and simple. But the switch to a statement bed from Emerald Furniture and more importantly the colourful linnen Designers Guild duvet cover and shams elevated the whole room, adding richness and comfort.
